Each bed is assigned a unique NFC card, creating a physical-to-digital bridge in the RuntimeCare ecosystem. When scanned, the system instantly identifies the bed and updates its occupancy status with zero latency.
Scan & Identify
Scan the NFC card assigned to a specific bed to instantly identify that asset in the software.
Automatic Status Update
If the bed is Unoccupied, the first scan automatically triggers the Occupied state.
Status Reversal
Scanning the card again transitions the bed from Occupied back to the Unoccupied state instantly.
Real-Time Ekam Sync
Every physical scan is synced to the Ekam core engine in real-time, eliminating manual data entry for nurses.
